What to wear/do surrounded by San Diego?
I'm going to San Diego this Thursday. What should I wear there? I hear it has be cooler lately than other years. Should I be concerned if I only bring shorts and flip flops. I'm also from NJ/NY nouns and we wear lots of dark clothes to clubs. Would that be appropriate?
Also, What else is near to do other than Zoo&Shamu? Is Tijuana undamaging during the day? Going to LA will it be a long drive? How's public transportation? Sorry I burried you beside questions but this is a question place :-)

if your going this thursday. you'll definately requirement some bikinis.yeah. or some beach clothes. it have been hot lately.unusual. but still ok. if your going clubing later bring some thongs.yeahhhhh. TJ i don't know much. but theres a lot to do contained by san diego. balboa park. pacific beach. i reccomend you step to del mar. take the 101 by 14th street and look for a subsandwhich. place call Board N' Brew.
this week has be muggy and hot if it continues like this later i think shorts and flip flops would be OK but a short time ago in skin bring 1 pair of jeans. shadowy clothes aren't really popular here but you should wear whatever make you comfortable if not next it's a good excuse to budge to the mall. you could budge to soak city in otay it's a sea park or try your luck and go to the casinos at darkness or the beach and do a bonfire. tj is never locked whether it's day or dark. if your going to LA it'll probably be 2 hours depending of what part of town your going. i don't really know in the order of public transportation.also there's this magazine called READER which is free and you'll find it at any 7 eleven or outside a drug store and they other have lot's of obedient ideas on what to do. hope you hold a great time here
This week it's been heat, a little humid. You'll be wearing mostly shorts and short sleeve/tee shirts/tanks; you might want to bring a really muted sweater or jacket to wear at night if you'll be effective the ocean. You might want to bring jeans. Dark clothes for clubs are fine; contained by SD people are not adjectives that concerned about dress conformity; it's pretty informal here.
Lots to do save for zoo/shamu. Downtown: Petco Park (baseball), clubs, restaurants...
downtown harbor area: sea museum (lots of old ships, including elevated ships and russian sub, that you can board), harbor cruise, midway aircraft carrier tour.
Take the transfer to Coronado; visit the historic Hotel del Coronado; for really magnificent beach stir to the adjacent Silver Strand.
Point Loma: see lighthouse/hiking/tidepooling/great view of bay
Mission Beach...put your foot the boardwalk of the beach for populace watching...ride the rollercoaster...play volleyball on beach...rent bike or skates and cruise the boardwalk...hang up out in bar...rent a small boat or jet ski and tour Mission Bay.
Ocean Beach...totter the pier, visit Newport Ave. for "hippie" culture.suspend out at the beach...
Balboa Park...stir on Sundays for international houses (different ethnic food and exhibits)...free concerts, including outdoor organ concerts 2 pm Sunday. See the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit at Natural History Museum...Imax Theatre...Space and Science Center...Photography Museum...Auto Museum...Gardens...Old Globe Theatre for plays (won the regional theatre Tony award); Art Museums, Museum of Man (anthropological)...artist colony...too much to mention...great outdoor restaurant Cafe at the Prado.
La Jolla nouns: La Jolla Cove; rent kayak to visit La Jolla Caves...Museum of Contemporary Art...Birch Aquarium...La Jolla Playhouse (also won regional Tony award)...totter Prospect Ave to visit art gallery, restaurants...and go to the shore. Watch hang gliders taking stale from Torrey Pines Glider Port. Hike in Torrey Pines State Park above and on the seaside. Visit nude beach Black's Beach.

North County: Visit Pizza Port for microbrews and great pizza (either Solana Beach or Carlsbad). Escondido: thieve tour of Stone Brewery..free samples at cessation of tour (if 21). Carlsbad: Museum of Making Music. Bars and restaurants on Carlsbad Villege Dr. Encinitas: Meditation Gardens at the Self Realization Temple...spectacular views from exquisite garden at the ocean's edge, and view of famous surf spot Swami's. Moonlight Beach. Visit San Diego Wild Animal Park (at dim, otherwise it's too hot during the day) east of Escondido. If you like professional tennis, the women's tour is playing this week at La Costa...including the Williams sisters and the other big name. And it's also racetrack season at Del Mar...post time 2 pm...but keep within mind the traffic on highway 5 around post time and exit time is especially congested because of it.
Tijuana...you can go if you want but don't construe you'd appreciate how long you'd have to keep on to get vertebrae across the border. During recent weeks it's taken more than 90 minutes in stripe to cross the boarder. Up to you. Safe or unsafe? Well, it's different; weird to drive in attendance (you'd need Mexican auto insurance if you drove). For a true Mexican experience don't budge where the tourists run. Unless of course you are lower than age 21 and want to drink..then pay attention where you budge as drunk Americans are easy target.
Public transit here isn't all that polite. Best options are the trolley and coaster trains...consequently walk or transport bus to final destinations. People don't use taxis around here much so unless you are surrounded by a real tourist nouns you are going to have a complex time finding one. Best to rent car.
Restaurants: best judgment from outdoor patio/bar of Bertrand's at Mr. A's near downtown...can see planes land at airport, the Coronado Bridge, downtown lights at dark, the ocean. For fun try Corvette Diner surrounded by Hillcrest. I already mentioned my affection for Pizza Port...I really love microbrews and pizza. The Beach House in Cardiff (north county) is awesome at sunset if you find a table on the patio. Get in that before 6 or 6:30 for untimely bird specials.
Drive to LA is maybe 2 hours if you progress on a Sunday morning, rest of the time there's traffic so count on lots of frustrating stop and go traffic...conceivably three hours. Don't forget that Disneyland and Calfornia Adventure Parks are halfway between San Diego and Los Angeles, right bad of highway 5. You might want to go in attendance.

Bring some pants and long sleeve shirts or a lighting jacket, it gets cooler at dark. I'm not there right presently, so I don't know what the weather is like this week. You can wear like peas in a pod things to clubs in SD as you do within NY. Public transportation is decent, you should be capable of get around purely fine. What to do really depends on what you like, what your interests are, how much money you want to spend, etc. I would turn to Balboa Park. Its really nice, there are gardens, an arboratum and a bunch of museums. LA is going on for a 3 hour drive from San Diego. Tijuana is safe as long as you stick to crowded areas - you know, don't budge down any dark alleys by yourself. You can lug the trolley right to the border then waddle into Tijuana and walk around the touristy shopping areas. The tacos are appropriate and the beer is cheap. Pacific Beach is a nice beach next to a lot of cute shops and suitable restaurants, if you're into the california surfer dude thing.
