It depends on who has the most clout and the most money and the most influence contained by Washington. My guess is, since it is a red state with a conservative governor, no dubya will not tolerate them dry out. But you have to remember...in attendance are 36 states in this country facing a drought. I grew up within North Ga and I know how important Lake Lanier is...but it have only be there since the 50s. WHat did the community do earlier then? I know it's a moot point. I do suggest they should stop having to supply wet to Florida and Bama.
Personally I think they will. The organization needs to enjoy the Army Corp of Engineers start desalting the water from the the deep and make it into fresh, drinking sea. Its not something they do not know how to do, its just a event of getting them to do it. Florida could use this resource for their precious mussels.
Will they tolerate the entire state run out of water is a better sound out -Everyone seems more interested within protecting the rare Mollusk and Sturgeon. I of adjectives people do not want a species to progress extinct, but it is a part of temperament. Right now I prefer the lives of humans living contained by this state. Have you seen Lake Alatoona? My God, it is of late a puddle..and all the well in North GA are drying up, the arable farm animals will suffer, our economy is suffering..
I sure as hell hope not!!
who know... it has already be taken to a federal level... but you know how long things pilfer to get changed around here..
Perdue have already got the Corpes to eat up the flow of water by smaller amount than 20%. we'll see what happens subsequent.
Suppose to be a good article roughly speaking it today, but i'll be reading that when I get stale work.
PS - for those blaming FL and AL ...it's not just roughly the endangered species... they, too, will suffer economically. Lake Lanier is a FEDERAL lagoon.. not just our tarn. Although I'd love to say we should keep hold of the water from going down to them, it wouldn't be celebration since GA alone doesn't own the lake.
FL and AL requirement this lake because of the path it flows downward to them... helps beside the hydroelectric plants and whatever else.
I still right to be heard SCREW the mussels. Find a way to move them... or permit nature bear it's course!
of course not
If Georgia would hold set up better conservation plans, this would be a non-issue, and their precious Lakes Altoona and Lanier would be just fine... lower than conventional, but not like they are immediately.
NO WAY - That would deter deveplopers !! We can't have that. Where would Sonny Perdue aka. Elmer Fudd put adjectives those boat ramps he authorized ? That be a waste of $19 million. Where would race noodle ??
i hope not!! lake allatoona and lanier are going to be dry by February! the army corp of engineers are pumping 15 times more sea out of lanier than is coming in... on a daily basis!! all because of some stupid sturgeon and mussel! screw the mussels! stop wasting adjectives of our water!
probably...droughts suck
