Can you return with from Atlanta, GA to Athens, GA using single buses?

I'm tired of driving from my home in Midtown to UGA surrounded by Athens. I make this commute twice a week. I can't move rear to Athens because I have an internship contained by town on MWF.

I'd rather rob a bus than drive so that I can work during the 3.5 to 4 hours (round-trip) that I spend commuting and looking for parking.

I've looked into Greyhound, but $40 twice weekly doesn't seem too promising. I be hoping maybe someone have figured out how to use the Gwinnett Co. buses along next to Marta, Athens Transit and some other local buses.
