What is at hand to do besides typical tourist attractions surrounded by San Diego, especially for 24 yr olds?

We will be in San Diego for my boyfriend (of 6 yrs) and it's our first authentic vacation together. We live contained by Las Vegas and always do the clubs etc. We will be going to Sea World for 2 days and the San Diego Zoo once. We'll own a free day for muesums, nice dinner, ect. Any suggestions? Expecially from locals? We resembling to do fine dining (especially french food) or dinner with "an experience" any place extremely rare to San Diego or neighboring cities. Thank you!!

Try going to Balboa Park. It's beautiful in attendance, and lots of cool museums. You can always pack up a picnic and stir there to soak up the weather.
Of course go to the coast (I'm sure you know this). If you want to go to a fun shore go to Mission. They hold a cool boardwalk with a rollercoater and shops. If you want something for a moment more relaxing go up to La Jolla or sunset cliffs.

I can't have a sneaking suspicion that of anywhere specific for you to eat (especially because I dont really do fine dining). I know here are some really nice places at the Gaslamp, or up in La Jolla/Cornado.
For Dining, I would recommend Bertrand Mister A's, Marine Room, or Georges Outdoor Terrace Bistro. Both Bertrand and the Marine Room are upscale restaurants. Mister A's is on the 12th floor within an office building downtown. It's a fabulous restaurant beside a fabulous view of the San Diego skyline and coast. Marine Room is surrounded by La Jolla..if you go, engender reservations for a table near the glass. If you time it for high tide, you will be of late inches from the waves! George's outdoor yard is casual. You should brand name reservations to be dining as the sun sets for a fabulous show. This restaurant is also in La Jolla.

I love roasting marshmallows on the seaside. Many beaches own firepits where you can hold your own bonfire. (first come, first serve). There's also wine tasting, kayaking through the cave at La Jolla (awesome!), hiking, and crusing the bay. For hours of darkness life, manager to San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter.
Just get back from our third trip to San Diego, we love it in attendance. If you enjoy hiking, near are tons of trails in the nouns. Very neat, you're smaller amount than 30 minutes from downtown but in total harsh environment. Check out Mission Trails Regional Park and Torrey Pines State Reserve.

Balboa Park (where the zoo is) is part of a big downtown park, too. There's abundantly of museums there, most charge an entry fee, but you can get hold of the Go San Diego card which includes admission to these (and heaps other attractions). See the link below.

If you soak up baseball, or just a hours of darkness out on a warm evening, the different downtown ballpark is beautiful, and one and only 4 years old. It's within the Gaslamp district, where closely of restaurants and bars are. Find a blissful hour and then pace over to the game!

Take an afternoon and commander over to Coronado. The hotel there is something to see, and you can tramp around the village or sand there too.

One suggestion, we relish Sea World but I don't think two days are important. You should be able to cover everything you want to see contained by a day.
Balboa Park have some really cool museums- I love playing at the Ruben H Fleet Center- its an interactive science museum with tons of fun games to play and things to do. The art museum is cool too- $10 will bring back you in. Otherwise newly explore the park itself, there are masses secret gardens and koi ponds. The International Houses are fun to look in too.

It at Dick's Last Resort downtown http://www.dickslastresort.com/ its a fun restaurant where everything's adjectives backwards and the waiters are really funny. Or, since I know there's one within Vegas and maybe you've already tried it..

dance to Corvette Diner downtown (kinda... in Hillcrest). They enjoy tons of 50's memorabilia, you sit in booths that look approaching cars, you get as much Bazooka bubble gum as you can chew and a million straws to drink your milkshake beside. Its a cool place.

have fun!

I've lived here all of my natural life and I still love going to Catalina. You can go over, rent a pushcart for an hour and see the whole place,,return with something to eat at a great seafood cafe, be in motion back across the canal at sunset. It will be something you will never forget!!

If you want to keep it surrounded by town check out this link

La Jolla , La Jolla, La Jolla. Its a short drive north of SD.The Childrens Beach is wonderful. Nice ..If your feeling a bit metaphysical , dance to the Whaley House in mature town SD. Its supposed to be one of the most haunted houses in the US. My daughter and I both have an encounter in the house. If you step to the Whaley house there is a small mexican restaurant call the Alamo (go figure) nearby. Get a bowl of guacamole and chips (the best Ive ever had) and family watch. Enjoy!!
I've lived contained by San Diego for 27 years and I can guarantee that you will have a fantastic time contained by La Jolla. At the Children's Pool, you will see a ton of seals and their babies (its pup season)! We close to to go contained by the morning (9 or 10AM) before the crowd get there.

About a 10-15 minute drive away, the Torrey Pines State Reserve have beautiful and trouble-free hikes to the beach beside views that will pinch your breath away... very, extremely romantic. This is something I love to do every week. Its THAT pretty... We go out and purloin a few minutes to really be thankful that we draw from to live in this rapture.

After that, freshen up and go to Pamplemousse Grille within Del Mar.. it'll definitely be a light of day to remember!
