What would be a nice, subdued neighborhood contained by Seattle?

I'm planning to move to Seattle and want a quiet and not dangerous neighborhood that is relatively close to shopping. Where would I find that?

I would check out west Seattle. If you would like to live surrounded by the outskirts of Seattle, Renton is very nice and Fairwood also.
Queen Anne area, pricey tho
There are a lot of great neighborhoods within and near Seattle. Ballard, Green Lake, Queen Anne, Fremont, and Greenwood fit your description resourcefully.
I'll second Fairwood (It's contained by Renton) since it's outside of downtown and quite a nice nouns. If you have lots of money (in the million range) I'd HIGHLY suggest looking at Newcastle nouns. Very beautiful houses, view and a quiet nouns.
