Pro's and con's living contained by Phoenix, Az moving near and would approaching to know.?
I will be living in maricopa, county I would resembling to know everything possible from people that own lived and visited in attendance.. Climate? House market? what is the cost of a newer house? Are near any places that is not adjectives dessert? Kinda like Flagstaff that are close to here? Entertainment? Thanks in finance for the help!

Phx. is spead out so you'll be driving everwhere..taffic kinda heavy al over i'd live out of town similar to Anthem or northwest area peoria, for one entertainment What kind/ lots of place around town...nightclub eastside more than west, cowby look westside out wickenburg way.
lots of trees north going on for 100 miles away! above the rim! or way south around bisbee...the deep is only 8 hours away l.a or san diego
Phoenix is amazing. I'm an az local that just moved to fresh york city...and while nyc is great for it's obvious reason, Phoenix is a casual, laid put a bet on, comfortable place to live with nice individuals. Definitely a great place to relax, have fun, gala or raise a family--there's something for everyone. AND, AZ have some hot sports teams right immediately! That said, I plan on finishing my year out in NYC and nervously heading home to Phoenix...You're lucky to be moving to such a great city!!
Pros are: 1. Obviously the weather which is practical ideal (70-95 degree 8 1/2 months a year with consistently low humidity). 2. Lots of outside recreational goings-on available (jogging, hiking, mountain biking etc. ). 3. Diversified job bazaar. Cons:1. Traffic congestion. 2. Increased crime rate (burglaries + car thefts). 3. Huge Phoenix-Maricopa county-metropolitan nouns that now have 3.5+ million residents!. 4. Summer time heat (temperatures between 100-115 degree from late May until impulsive in Sept.). I'd estimate the cost of a brand new home is close to $250,000 depending upon where you want to reside. This nouns is NOT a dessert any longer in the true sense of the word. Flagstaff is a 2 hour and 15 minute drive North of Phoenix. However, you can escape the fry by driving approximately 90 miles to either neighbouring Prescott or Payson and experience all four season. This is now big time city living, beside horrible rush hours, but it is sill tons better than winter weather or that awful humidity that exists in several areas of the US almost all summer long!
phoenix is remarkably hot most of the year (100+). winters are nice and mild. housing market is horrible right in a minute. don't buy anything in maricopa, queen creek, surprise, anywhere on the outskirts of town. house prices are adjectives over the board-you should get a genuine estate agent. phoenix (maricopa) is all desert. tucson is close, but also desert. flagstaff, sedona, prescott are difficult elevation=forest and mountains and snow. AZ in standard is pretty boring. it's probably a decent place to put on a pedestal a family, but if you're young-looking and looking for single night life-good luck.
When I was growing up, we took family unit vacations to AZ adjectives the time. My husband and I moved to Scottsdale right after we got married, stern in May, and let's simply say that it is unambiguously different than what we were used to. I'm used to the hussle of downtown Chicago, and coming out here be a huge change. It have been knotty for me to adjust to this type of lifestyle, and I am still finding myself adjusting. Don't attain me wrong, AZ is absolutely gorgeous, and I would love to move vertebrae out here years from now. It seem like a great place to make higher a family. However, I estimate it's just too slow for my inclination, I miss downtown, and everything that comes along with it.
dad lives within Paradise Valley- EXPENSIVE AND JENNA JAMESON BOUGHT BABES CABERET AND LIVES 3 DOORS DOWN FROM DAD. SHE IS NICE BUT IS VERY PRIVATE. HOUSES ARE IN THE MILLIONS IN SOME PLACES.HOT AND DRY WITH TEMP OF 120 AT TIMES. NOT MUCH OUT THERE BUT SITESEEING, GOLF, AND MALLS AND ONE OR TWO CLUBS. FOR THE VERY RETIRED WITH MONEY OR RICH FAMILIES.
I'm actually hoping to be moving out in attendance next year after getting married. We own done a lot of our research on our own on the internet but also enjoy friends living in the nouns. Home costs are going to vary by location. I'd suggest doing a query on realtor.com or something like that. Put contained by your criteria and go from in that. And from what I've heard lately, the housing bazaar isn't any better out there than it is elsewhere contained by the country (and it's horrible in NW Ohio/SE Michigan right in a minute which is going to cause problems for us selling to move to Phoenix). For the most portion it's hot and dry, but prone to flash floods (they actually own a 'monsoon' season that goes from mid to pause July ending within September I believe...). If it's not 'all desert' it just doesn't look right out here. Entertainment? If you are at all into sports...it's great! Baseball (D-backs within the NLCS starting thursday), football, basketball, hockey (the hockey arena is right next door to the brand current football stadium in Glendale), auto race, college sports (I believe ASU's football team is currently undefeated); seriously of outdoor activity resembling hiking, golf, etc. Lot of good restaurants as all right (I've found some great sushi places). Lake something or other is not too far away - my friends used to go jetskiing adjectives the time. It's a four our drive from the northern area of Phoenix to Las Vegas as okay as a four hour drive to San Diego (at least this is what my friends relay me). Phoenix is one of the fastest growing metro areas in the country and the career market out near seems so much better than where on earth I currently am.
With the crime thing...Phx PD is looking to hire 1000 new police officers over the subsequent three years - which is how we will likely finish up out there.
