I have an interview appointment within Oxnard and I live in Minneapolis.

You're renting a vehicle, right? Bus would be too much.
There are two ways to go: Freeways or PCH. Freeways MIGHT be quicker, but probably not, since the 405 is a unadulterated bear getting through Sepulveda Pass.
PCH: Go north on Sepulveda Blvd from LAX. Just north of the airport, slide left on Lincoln Blvd. This is not a awfully fast street, but it's probably no slower than the 405. Take Lincoln a few miles north to I-10. Take 1-10 west towards the sand. I-10 ends just after the tunnel, and as you endorse Santa Monica Pier, it changes to Pacific Coast Highway, or PCH. Take PCH north through Santa Monica, Malibu, and eventually Oxnard. It's a impressively pretty drive.
Freeways: Take the San Diego Freeway (405) north to highway 101 west. It's about 40 miles to Oxnard from the 101/405 interchange.
route 101 =d
When you arrive at LAX move about to the Travelers Aid Booth that is close to the Baggage claim nouns in every terminal. They hold the schedule of the Shuttle that runs from LAX to Oxnard/Ventura. I consider they run about every 3 hrs. When you arrive stand underneath the GREEN sign.
You would rent a car. lift the 405 Freeway to the 101 to Ventura. Follow the 101 Freeway through the San Fernando Valley through Thousand Oaks and Camarillo to oxnard.
Oxnard has some tricks to it, what street is your interview on?
