Where does 600 miles place me considdering the distance from Seattle Wa. thru puget sound to the Pacific Ocean, later proceeding south.

I mapped it, and it's give or take a few 425 miles from Eliott Bay to the I5 brigde into Portland.
Here is my calculations, nautical from the Sound to Portland, continuing south.
Seattle >> Portland = 360 miles (give or take)
verbs south (huggin' the coast) till 600 miles = Between Whalehead Island and House Rock, Oregon
7 miles north of the Oregon/California Border (again give or take).
