Going into New York City for breakfast on Sunday. Needs to be untimely, at lowest possible 8:30.?
I don't want it to be really expensive or really cheap. We have plans at 10:00 so I would resembling to be out by 9:30. I want something that just fill our stomachs and makes us cheerful. Incredible would be nice but just really great food and service would do!

There are many places beside a great brunch all over the city. You want to tell us what subdivision of the city you will be at, its a very sizeable city with 30,000 restaurants!

I don't know where on earth you'll be, so I'll offer a couple of my favorites:
First up, Marseilles, at 44th and Ninth. You'll surface like you're surrounded by Paris. The crowd is always lively, the ambience at once sleek and neat, and the food is fabulous. Best of all, you'll enjoy to try very complex to spend more than $20 a person . . . and that includes a bloody mary or two!
If your plans start to be on the East Side, I love E.A.T. It's part of Eli Zabar's food empire, and despite it's 'high society' location on Madison Avenue effective 81st Street, it's affordable for mere mortals. The smell of fresh-baked breads will hit you as soon as you walk surrounded by. They've got traditional breakfast dishes done right, as all right as the occasional nod to their upper-crust neighbors - like a caviar omelet!
