We'll whether you want to or not, you'll probably see a nicely bronzed bum wearing a thong as he bends over digging through the trash. That site is still embedded into my brain.
There's deeply of art, magic and dramatic shows on the board walk, and plenty of tattoo parlors.

As mentioned before, the boardwalk and the canal are pretty much it. But both are definitely worth checking out.
The canal are beautiful and a cool reminder of Venice's bygone.
The boardwalk is pretty much the ultimate within people watching. There are a couple of places along the boardwalk where on earth you can rent bikes. It's pretty cheap and you can bike up the coast all the track to Santa Monica, which is a nice ride.
