What do you infer of Seattle, Washington?

I agree next to mhilz on one very significant thing. Seattle is NOT a big cty. For relatives from the PNW it sems big. However to someone who either grew up surrounded by a big city, or who loves truly big cities (like me) Seattle seems fundamentally small.
It is a very nice place, near comforts and views and a nice laid rear legs atmosphere (things like massively much.)
I like Seattle abundantly, but I don't see myself staying here. I will probably end up living surrounded by a big city like San Francisco or New York.

I moved to Seattle more or less a year ago from Boston, and personally its not the city for me. Its definately get a laid back west coast vibe. It is a terribly enviromentally aware city, and its quite delicate when its sunny out. Its also very own flesh and blood oriented.
The things I don't approaching about Seattle, compared to the east coast, the public transportation is horrible, its not a in particular easy city to achieve around without a vehicle. It doesn't have a immensely vibrant night duration, and in my experience if you are young at heart and single its very difficult to run into new population. The restaurant selection is pretty constrained. I find the street naming system extremely confusing! There is 1st Ave., 1st Ave. S, 1st Ave. N, 1st Ave. W and they are not the same streets, they aren't necessarily even fundamental each other.
Since it seem that some comments are directed at me, that's fine. I am speaking as a newcomer, not someone who has lived here adjectives my life. As a newcomer the above programmed comments are true. Have I learned that the number streets streaked W (1st Ave.W, 2nd Ave. W, etc..) are all within Queen Anne, have I cultured all the S obvious streets are Pioneer Square, yes. Have I found Amber, the Frontier Room, etc.., yes, but as a NEWCOMER these things did not come easily, and compared to other big cities Seattle lacks contained by many areas, yes in attendance are restaurants, I've found some great ones, is there a shortage of variety, yes. I infer Seattle is beautiful, but as the comments directed towards me indicate, its not other welcoming to newcomer, that has be my personal experience. I've lived in NYC and Boston, I've traveled extensively to Chicago, Dallas, San Fransisco, etc... Seattle is different, its charming, the mountains, the sound, etc.. But its not what I would consider a "big city", its a short time ago not. It doesn't make anything I've said untrue. It is not an jammy place for a newcomer to assimilate.
I detestation big cities.or any city for that matter.but Seattle be so amazing I teared up when me and my best friend arrived there.that section of Washington is GORGEOUS. And when we took the Ferry from Kingston to Port Gamble at night time, we rode on the deck...(It be FREEZING, and needless to vote we were the single 2 people up here!) But the city was purely FASCINATING.

My favorite city -- great scenery, nice individuals, great music scene, excellent food, the best coffee.
It's a little similar to Portland, Oregon.
It's one of the most environmentally focused cities I own been to. It's terribly liberal especially compared to the rest of the state. People are generally terrifically friendly. Very few people smoke contained by the city (there are some pretty heavy law against it, ie no smoking in restaurants or bar, no smoking 25 feet form a doorway or bus stop). Seattle is pretty gay-friendly (once again, especially compared to eastern Washington). There are profoundly of nice residential neighborhoods that are still in the city. There is an amazing park system. The public school leave something to be desired though.
Public transportation is pretty nice, though the one and only options are buses or the monorail, which lone goes from queen-anne (north pond union) to downtown. But you can get pretty much everywhere you have need of to go on buses.
Basically, I love it. Its extremely environmental, ethnic group are courteous, and it is very past the worst.
Beautiful. Rains too much. Hard to unite new those.
Seattle was rate for having the healthiest path of getting to work in the summer.
Beautiful city, close access to the deep and mountains. It is an American gateway to Asia. Before I moved here, I checked out other cities as well. I get an instant strong "vibe" that it was the right place to be. Others may enjoy their own reasons; these are some of mine.

I love Seattle. I be born and raised here. There are lots of other places I enjoy visited and delight in, but Seattle will always own my heart. It's beautiful and diverse.
I LOVE this place. Though I'm a bit south of the big city, it's get everything you can want plus more. Canada, healthy atmosphere, so much to see and do, both indoors AND outdoors, and the climates are extremely mild. The best of both worlds next to the ocean, the nouns and the mountains. It really doesn't get any better than this.
And this coming from a gal whom have lived in Hawaii, New Mexico, Maryland, Pennsylvania and more. We've finally found "home" here. :)

of seattle is very green! lol.
the transportation isn't that bleak if you know how to use it.
-there is some nightlife if you know where to dance.
-there are TONS of restaurants all over seattle, not fixed
at all..
-and traveling and the streets arent that complex to manage
and to grasp around if you know where you are going..
its call learning the roads!

i love seattle and i think theres tons of things to do. i live
30 min. away and theres also tons of other places to be in motion
to..and it gets munificent of old if you hang on to going to the same
places, but if you activity out theres also tons of different
places to visit.
