[LIRR] What is that description within support of the Metrocard that individuals flash at the ticket collectors?
I buy a monthly metrocard and use the LIRR sometimes (for school). was wondering what those things are down the metrocard. thanks
Answers:
On the backbone of the metrocard are instructions on how to use it. I have no theory why they would show that. I do know that some metrocards (employees, seniors) have photos on it of the card holder so they might be showing their pics to the collector.
As stated above, it's a monthly train ticket. I am almost certain to seize the monthly ticket/metrocard combo you have to attain your ticket through the Main-n-Ride program. You can put as much as you want on the metrocard, but they do expire. That may have changed but I doubt it.
That little piece in the stern of the MetroCard is the monthly pass that most be shown to the conductor, or ticket collector, when riding the LIRR. Its combined next to the MetroCard for those who take both the railroad surrounded by suburbs and the subway in the city.
I hope this information be very practical. Happy Holidays.
You might be thinking nearly a monthly pass on the LIRR. It's not a metrocard. They rate a certain amount per month, the conductor will check to see if the passanger have a valid monthly pass.
