Other than craigslist what is the best mode to apartment hunt surrounded by Seattle?
I am looking for a large studio or a 1 bedroom within or near Fremont. What is the best approach OTHER THAN CRAIGSLIST to find a good apartment?
Answers:
check the listings in the local weeklies: The Stranger & The Seattle Weekly - that's how I found a 1 bedroom on Capitol Hill for $695/month! (Although that apt building is in a minute a condo, but still)
www.rent.com If you use them to find an apartment, they convey you a $100 Visa card!

A Realtor. They are starving, and you shouldn't enjoy to pay a commission.
In any city it's a pretty good view to find a university or college near where on earth you want to live, and go to their website, and they will (or should) adjectives have a public knit (you dont have to walk there) to a Housing website, chances are they wont supervision if you aren't a student, especially if it's an apartment or rented house
Physically going around and looking for places. I've found so frequent places, especially some of the cheapest places, that didn't bother to put up ads within papers/online, because people will usually other be jumping on those places promptly! Take a look around the Fremont/Ballard areas and see if you see anything around there. People within the know are always supportive too, if someone lives in a wearing clothes (or decently affordable) building, they can communicate you when openings are occurring. A lot of times, by the time places conquer newspapers and the internet where on earth you find them, numerous people enjoy already looked at them, so if they are real steals, they're already gone!
