Adding on.if you are in The Bronx, step along Pelham Parkway and into Pelham Bay Park. Beautiful trees, scenery and safe and sound path...you don't even have a sneaking suspicion that you are in New York City.
Central Park closes the roadways for bicycles, also here is a nice path along the west side subsequent to the river
If you're in manh, try the FDR park or Battery Park. If you're contained by Bklyn, try the area in close proximity the Verrazano bridge. If you're in Queens, try the Flushing Meadows Park. Enjoy!
