It's great! If you like farmland, rainfall every second of your life, and the occasional earthquake. Word of suggestion: Stay as close to the space needle as you can. The farther you draw from from seattle the more depressed you'll become.
it's great - and if you live close enough to the city-core, you don't requirement a car any! i just use the bus & a bicycle.
it rain some, but it's usually light precipitation anyway - and the summers are nice, not super-hot.
i suggest either capitol hillock or the u-dist as far as living areas. best of luck!
Except for the traffic.the best contained by the USA.
Expensive, expensive, expensive. I love Seattle more than any other city in america but it is damn expensive
Jess,
Good to hear from you man, I was also 23 when I go to Seattle and it's a great place to be. Has to be one of the most pedestrian / bike friendly places around and believe it or not the public transportation is pretty good - and the local seafood is even better!
I agree beside the above review that Capitol Hill, or the University District (U-District) is going to be an awesome place to get your bearing, find an apartment / roommate and just acquire settled in. Both locations are close to pretty much everything you could envision and then some.
I consider the associates to be pretty approachable, and if you're into the pub scene Seattle has an outstanding screening of bars and live music only about every darkness of the week. You can almost sense a strong alternative / grunge presence in the music here after darkened but any genre is up for grabs.
Give it a shot and don't look spinal column man, best of luck!
