Grand Canyon Picture Identify?
I took a picture from an airplane window of a canyon, which I reason is the grand canyon. If anyone could confirm that, It would be much appreciated.

Your photo shows the extreme eastern completion of the Grand Canyon where it meet with Marble Canyon. Your photo is looking N-NE. The huge side-canyon coming in on the right of your picture is the Little Colorado River ravine (a major tributary) and the small mesa butte to the departed is called Chuar Butte. The rock level that makes the sheer cliffs half-way down is the Redwall and Muav Limestones and the greyish sloping stratum nearest the river in the Bright Angel Shale.
Technically anything up-stream from the intersection with the Little Colorado River is considered division of Marble Canyon and everything from the Little Colorado down is considered the Grand Canyon. So most of your photo shows the lower stretches of Marble Canyon with the first start of the Grand Canyon at the bottom of your figure.
