It's not a law. Not adjectives stores here have the prices on their items, lately a few. I believe it's at the stores own discretion.
idk its basically the way it is...wouldnt you approaching to look at something and wonder, whats the price? then look, oh its right here! thats so convient!
They probably do it so you don't hold to ask.
I am not sure how this is a travel question but the defence why there are prices on items at grocery stores is so that customers know how much an item is going to cost when they variety a purchase.
Michigan does hold a law on the subject of pricing. It requires that every item be labeled because of fraudulent practices. When scanners became the typical way to multiply charges, companies either boldly or in error substandard to set the price that was within the scanner to match the price on the sign or signage in the store. This resulted surrounded by overcharges and usually a "bonus" for stores. Michigan enacted a imperative regarding the pricing of stuff so the customer could match the price when the item be scanned and discouraged this practice. By tenet in Michigan, if a store overcharges the customer, the customer is entitled to a repayment of ten times the price up to $5.00.

You may not think a few cents here and in that adds up but if Walmarts overcharged $.01 on every can of corn sold within their stores (and they sell millions a year), it can supply up fairly smartly.. Now add a penny or two to the million of other products that they deal in and ...wow...the Waltons ( Walmarts owners) would be richer than they already are.
we like to know how much things cost, christen us crazy but thats the way we do it contained by the D
so adjectives the damn clerks dont have to answer another fkn put somebody through the mill.
Because Michigan people are cheap and we similar to to know what we are paying for everything. It's not the law but everyone does it. I find it interesting that others don't do it. lol.
that's actually a well-mannered thing detestation to pick something up and not sure of the price
I don't know if there is a tenet stating it has to be done, but the stores and gas stations do it at for the courtesy and convenience for the customers.
Actually, it is a law surrounded by Michigan. It is to protect consumers. Otherwise, it would be difficult to know if the price was loaded incorrectly into the store's computers and you be being overcharged.

The information can be found at http://www.michigan.gov/ag/0,1607,7-164-...
well i would voice because they dont want someone saying that something be $12 when it was really $25 i infer thats why but i am not shure
Apparently, the shadow and I are the only family that know this is a law within MI? Almost all items must be prominent with the price. I know within are a few exceptions. Like Kool-Aid packets etc. I see unmarked items (that should be marked) adjectives the time though. The law is not strictly enforced by my scrutiny. Wal Mart in specific has oodles un-priced items, at least the one in the neighbourhood me.
This is true especially at convenience stores. In most stores, they have a modular set that they must travel by. So trolls in a far away place embezzle the measurements that the store has available. Then from that, they create drawings that the store have to follow. They make up label for the shelf and the store clerks put it all together to kind a nice set. That set will stay that same way for up to a year or so. BUT, surrounded by convenience stores, they have no modular set and can put out anything items they choose. Therefore, they label respectively individual item for the consumer.
