Gatlinburg/Smoky Mountains/Fall foliage?
Does anyone live by the Great Smoky Mountains or Gatlinburg TN? If so, will the fall foliage be gone by November 9th? I'm getting married November 8th and would similar to to go nearby for our honeymoon but not if the leaves are already gone. Thanks.

Fall foliage peak in rash to mid-October. By November, it will be wintry with little color. Don't discount the charm of the park in winter, though. Especially after a appropriate snow. Plus, you can get some really swank cabin for great rates in the winter (except for Christmas/New Years). PS: Hot tubs rock surrounded by the winter.
That's an excellent place to stir for a honeymoon. The wife and I went in that last year for our 20th anniversary. We go in behind time August it was pretty hot afterwards. We were planning on going hindmost this fall and the park guides said Sept-Oct be best for fall colors. I hold some photos of our trip if you want to take a look

It varies for a time from year to year but, unfortunately most of the stumble colors will be gone by November 9th. There may be a few spots where in that is still color but the peak is around October 15th and it decline pretty rapidly. However, some years the weather is assorted and it is later but I wouldn't count on it. Sorry! It's still a terribly beautiful place though!
