technically and geographically "south central" is an untrue term. if it be. the staples center and the surrounding areas would be south central. anyways. eastla isnt nontoxic if your black. and in "southcentral" theres a power struggle going on between blacks and mexicans. if anything, eastside and parts of north longbeach is only as ghetto and unsafe. when i lived behind white memorial(state/cesar chavez) ghetto bird be over my spot everynight.

There are various areas of East LA and South Central that enjoy businesses and homeowners and people trying to form it a worthwhile place. Yet people rebuke that and choose to believe the hype put out by hip-hop recording artists and racist of all colors!
FTR I saw tagging on the walls contained by predominantly white Malibu this past April when I visit there...despite that, would you phone it "ghetto"? probably not.

East L.A. and South Central are both run-down districts of Los Angeles. It's really hard to compare. It's close to asking whether Beverly Hills or Bel-Air is fancier. It's really debatable.
