Original accepted wisdom for a trip to NYC? / anything special going on within mid feb?

Hey guys..
I'm going to New York City contained by two weeks,and I was wondering if you have any interesting/original ideas roughly speaking what I could do there.I niggardly a nice thing I can do but that wouldn't be tabled in tourism guides etc..Obviously I'm going to check the Empire state building,Brooklyn bride,MoMa,etc..but it would be nice if you could suggest a few other things general public may not know about! :]
Also will near be anything special/must see between 10th and 18th of feb??

Check with the website below for events surrounded by the city in mid-Ferbruary.

Also try some Broadway shows, the Museum of Natural History, a trip up the Hudson Valley, a visit to the Cloisters is a must, hold fun in the Village, and ...shop...shop..and don;t forget to bring plenty winter clothing,,,it is freezing cold.
