How do I attain a license to take mace surrounded by Miami, FL?

I'm going to be a freshman at the University of Miami in August, and I be wondering what the requirements are to carry mace within the state of Florida. I know I probably won't ever have to use it, but I want to label sure I'm protected while I'm there. Especially anyone young and feminine, I want to be absolutely positive that if I do get hold of in a situation where on earth I need to be alone at darkness or in a precarious area, I can protect myself. Also, I currently live in Massachusetts, so what do I inevitability to do to get a license from here?

Pepper spray is the saftest bet.
Also, if you want to capture a conceiled weapons license, we own the "stand your ground law" where we achieve to shoot anyone who intimidates us.
But I think that's roughly 600 bucks to get, not counting the cost of the gun.
Always be aware of where on earth you are in miami. It's not past the worst here, and a lot of nation carry some benevolent of weapons. You might want to purloin some kind of womens self-defence class past or after you come here.

You don't need a license. Florida is a fundamentally easy state on self defense law you don't even need a license to fetch a gun in your saloon there are no requirements for mace. Go ahead and take it and use it any time you feel threaten the statute is on your side.
License? I hope you don't need one contained by Miami because my dad gave me some to mace and i strap that article to my body all the time. LOL...if i entail a license i guess im in trouble...but permit me tell you...i haven't have to use mine yet.but who know...i may have to conduct yourself first and ask questions subsequent if i feel threatned satisfactory.LOL...
First sour, UM is in Coral Gables, a intensely good neighborhood, and since you are an incoming freshman I am assuming that you will be living on campus, so you really shouldn't hold a problem in that high regard. Now if you will be going out at night or out partying contained by Miami, then yes, probably Mace would be a good theory You do not need a license to fetch mace or pepper spay, and as a previous answerer stated Florida is very nonjudgmental when it comes to protecting yourself. Now you might think I am crazy, but if you really want to be undisruptive you can purchase a Taser. I was in actual fact just reading something like them in Newsweek Magazine, if your interested you can find it online. The Taser C2 is for civilians and it is market towards women who are seeking personal protection without the use of a firearm (you can attain in it pink too!). The Taser is $299 and is a tad larger than an Ipod. They cannot be purchased/used within Massachusetts but Florida has no problem next to them. So if you decide that you would quality safer with one you can other order one when you move down here to Miami.
There are some really unpromising areas in Miami, but don't agree to that discourage you, you will be safe on campus and most of the surrounding areas. With that said don't fade to purchase mace or any tool that will help you grain safer.
