When is the best time to travel to Philadelphia?
I know this is the third question I've asked, and I promise it's the ending one for now, but I be wondering when the best time to go to Philadelphia is because I'd prefer to jump when there's not too many tourists. One quantity of me would enjoy going during the winter time because I'm from Texas, and we don't receive any snow where I'm from. But another element of me wants to budge when the weather is nice, and not overwhelming cold or hot.

Spring or Fall. Most associates come down to tour historic Old City. At least during this time, it will be cool plenty for a sweater or light jacket. I would avoid July-August because when it get hot, it gets HOT! Many times temps within the 80s have a humidity of 100. It feel like you're walking surrounded by an oven sometimes.
I would suggest traveling in the May, Sept or hasty October. The weather is pretty nice around that time of the year.

Spring or Fall it is to hot within the summer and winter can be a mess.

Snow is much more scenic in the countryside than surrounded by the city. The plows clear it off the streets hastily, and then you're merely dealing with slush unwanted on the sidewalks. Personally I'd visit Philly within the spring or fall as previously mentioned. Summertime can become slightly hot, which makes walking around the streets self-conscious.
Recommendations for Philadelphia:

-- Go to the art museum -- bonus -- the steps contained by front were climbed by Rocky Balboa!
-- Walk along South Street -- lots of funky shops and restaurants
-- There is a booming dining scene, so be prepared for much more than cheese-steak sandwich!

I perfer the months of April and May, and September and October, as they show more perferable weather.
If you're interested in the historical things, you might even want to come within early July. There are adjectives sorts of Independence Day events. It's really hot and crowded, but I think it's worth it. All of the other suggestions nearly spring and fall are great too.
I think spring surrounded by Philly is the best, around May 1 and on. Summer is Hazy , hot and humid 90's . Philly doesn't get crowded resembling NYC and Washington DC. I would not worry just about crowds. If you like fine dining, bring your wallett because i discern that one of the best features of Philly is the dining. Budakahn is worth a visit. The museuems inclduing the Franklin institute are great as capably. Enjoy!
We didn't get much snow this year, so at hand are no guarantees that you will see snow if you come in the winter. I can guarantee that you will not approaching the black and disgusting city snow though. You would be better off coming surrounded by the spring or fall. And don't verbs about tourist season: in that are always tourists surrounded by Philly, everyday, all year long. Like any city.
Early April through May is nice...the kids are within school and the humidity isn't trough the roof. Late September through Halloween is also nice...again, the kids are contained by school and the temps are nice.
Summer can newly be brutally hot in the city. It's not as doomed to failure in the 'burbs or if you are going to Lancaster or Valley Forge...but it can still be sticky.
I think spring and decline are the true ideal travel times, but so do the tourists who don't hold school children. Leaves turn colors surrounded by PA later than surrounded by New England, so if you want to see that, make it next fall.
Philadelphia is GREAT!
Going up north is really nice any in spring or plunge, your there when you can see the true colors of the city, you don't enjoy to be hit by snow but see the different colors in the trees and the different warmth changes. Also going during spring or slump you won't run into all the tourists.
