Which County is Better: LA, Ventura, Orange or San Diego? Why?

As for me, I'm a university professor (specialized in Medieval Studies), and I needed to know where are the nicest places to live within Southern California...Universities are plentiful there, but I needed a fundamentally good place to live close at hand my future assignment location.

Answers:
L.A and Orange are too overcrowded.Ventura is nice and close to L.A. San Diego is nice too... I would probably choose Ventura county it's close plenty to L.A. but far enough to seize away from the horrific traffic.if you don't mind traffic, overpopulation, diversity, and expensive housing then Orange County would be a apposite choice too.
There are good areas and doomed to failure areas in adjectives of those counties. If I were you, I'd first choose where on earth you want to work, then remnant your residence on that.

Having said that, I believe Orange County is the nicest place to live out of all those counties but an argument could be made for only about anywhere.
For you, I would read aloud LA County, based on your question. Particularly West Hollywood.

San Diego is by far the best.

I have lived within LA for 3 months and San Diego for 5 years.

If you need to travel to LA much afterwards San Diego is too far away to travel (120 miles 3-4 hour drive depending on the time of day)

What I don't like around LA is that it is congested, scruffy looking ,smoggy, much more expensive than San Diego, especially nice homes and I found it remarkably stressful commuting around. LA does have nice areas adjectives around the coastline but anytime you are forced to drive close to LA city it is not pretty. there is no nightlife contained by LA city, it's just a work city where on earth everyone goes home at 6pm so here is not much open, here are no scenic views and the Ocean is miles away, you can't smell it thats for sure.

Orange and Ventura counties are outstandingly nice too but are more like towns than a city so if you similar to city life you call for to be near to genuine cities like San Diego and LA where on earth all the feat is. If you like soft countryside life the Ventura or Orange county would be Ideal.

What I similar to about San Diego is that it is outstandingly beautifull everywhere there, it have quiet countryside areas neighbouring, Mexico, Mountain scenery and Sea Breeze and Ocean view. It has a lively holiday atmosphere downtown beside street cafe's restaurants, bars and a wonderfull harbor, boats, ships, georgeous beach and coves. It has lots of great local parks for kids as powerfully as Sea World, San Diego Zoo and wild animal park. It is single 120 miles to LA to see Hollywood Santa Monica and all of those nice costal areas of LA. It is drastically relaxing to live here.

If you need to be surrounded by LA every day though you will own to live closer to there, costal LA or Orange county, Ventura is too far from LA within my opinion
My choice is Orange County. Ventura, and San Diego are wonderful places to live, but the commute would be prohibitively long. Los Angeles is older, dirtier, have more questionable areas, and has a slightly greater sales due.

Much of Orange is newer and cleaner, having be developed within the later several decades. Homes show a high amount of ownership pride. It contains the safest city in California, the City of Irvine. The most desirable areas would be the sand cities, the Anaheim Hills, and the I-5 corridor from Tustin to Dana Point. The only questionable nouns would be Santa Ana, a designated sanctuary for illegal aliens.

You be correct to chastise the answer that seems to enjoy been a precise attempt to humiliate and embarrass you All the regular contributors in the Los Angeles forum know how the individual become "top" contributor.
Stay out of Orange County. We're full.
San Diego - because it is so pretty there... Mission Bay!!
I have lived and worked contained by Orange County, LA, and Ventura.

As to which one is the best: It depends on where you work and what you want.
Orange County: There are more Universities nearby than Ventura. There is a high tech population and more job in the white color nouns.
Ventura: It is beautiful here. But not much to do. They do not own the same even of education as the other two counties. They merely have two community colleges and a latest Cal- State.

LA: Very diverse, lots of energy but crime pockets and congestion.
Santa Barbara! Lots of school and beautiful nouns.
Ventura County is the best and heres why.
Simi Valley, Moorepark and thousand oaks.
these cities within ventura county have gone rear legs and forth as the safest city in california to live for days gone by 15 years.
That being said they are also expensive cities to live contained by.
All of the above except for San Diego. That place is full of fix, whining brats who only meticulousness about money money money
it depends on what you wanna do and how you wanna perform. In LA, "everybody in L.A. get a little bit of thug within 'em" Tupac Shakur, "To live and die in L.A.". Ventura, really nice, cleaner air, ancestors might actually say aloud hi! to you on the street. (never happens surrounded by L.A., unless their trying to rob you) Orange county, Just watch that retarded show the O.C. (nuff said). San Diego, perfect party school there, close to mexico, so picking up a hooker shouldn't be a problem. All four hold their bright points and their dull points. can't point them all out here (not ample time) if you could list your hobbies possibly that might help out.. eg: surfing, snowboarding, dirtbike riding, (might make a difference) anyways, L.A.'s full don't come here. j/k, come, receive medieval on some asses. haha!
