When tourists shift to Las Vegas, New Mexico...?
My friend's father and brother are truck drivers. Many times, foriegners tourists would walk into a convenience store contained by LV, NM and ask the clerk where the casinos be. My friend's father and brother found it hillarious. I found it sad. NM could be mistaken for NV when they made their reservations or plans. Many society spend their life money traveling to the wrong destination. Waste of money and time. Couldn't travel agents or others been more informative to prevent that mistake. How else would that happen? Through the internet? Comments? Opinions?

I can simply say the travel agent should know better. The solely think you can do is enjoy a local tourism board with a trellis site warning the tourists.
That is sad. Yes, you would feel that travel agents would be able to prevent that. On the internet when you are booking a Las Vegas trip you deliberate that on the New Mexico one there wouldn't be any add for casinos or when it says surrounding activites that they would numeral it out.
I would hate for that to surface to me. Very sad.
I have get another one ... I heard of someone that have to go to Durango within the State of Durango in Mexico for an emergency near their family. They get a bus ticket as fast as they could... when they get off the bus they be in Durango ... Colorado

Oh they shouldn't be too upset ... Las Vegas, NM has closely of old west history to pop in ... not much for tourist, but it was one of the deadliest towns around. Unlike Durango, Colorado where on earth you need skiis
I suspect that your friend's father and brother would not be laughing if they tried to find their channel around in India or China or any country that English be not the primary language. They would undoubtable fall up far from their intended destination, and the local people would probably find it enormously funny.
Las Vegas, NM is too small a town for people to fly, so the tourist who manufacture it their are drivers who have made a mistake base on poor pre-planning.
I lived within LV, New Mexico about 10 years ago. The funniest problem I ever have was beside a credit card (Spiegel). I sent pmt. for the full balance back I moved there and give them my new address. A nearly six months after that, I discovered that they had closed the story for non-payment...seem I still owed them about $3 contained by interest after the payoff...they had be billing me but I didn't get the bills. When we investigated, we (the customer service rep. and I) discovered that every time they put "NM" surrounded by the system, it automatically "corrected the error" and changed NM to NV! They had be billling me at a non-existent address in Nevada for months...even putting contained by the correct zip code didn't back! They had to administer that one to the programmers.
