What is the typical heat surrounded by San Diego around the stop of March?
I might be going to San Diego in belated March for Spring Break...but I just want to form sure that it isn't going to be too cool. I'm pretty sure that it stays around the 70's-80's most of the year there, but I know it cools down surrounded by the winter.
Also, I'd want to be going to the beach, so what nearly the water warmth? I've been nearby a few times in the summer, and I know that the wet is pretty cool there because of the currents coming from the north...so how cold would it be within late March? Would it be bearable in need a wet suit?
I'm from New York so I'm not sure if I'd want to spend adjectives of the time and money going to San Diego (Encinitas is where we would be staying) if I'm not really going to know how to enjoy the beach/ocean.

I am a San Diego native, born and raise there and of late returned to New York after spending another 2 years there. If you budge to San Diego for Spring Break in March, you will be disappointed. Temperatures at the seaside are usually in the glorious 50s to mid-60s -- it would be extremely unusual for beach nouns temperatures to rise above 70 degree in March. On top of that, we recurrently have solid cloud cover at the beach until the afternoon. Finally, sea temperatures contained by Spring rarely rise much above 60F -- if you don't know what that feel like, run some cold dampen in a tub, then put contained by a tray of ice cubes. In short, if your aspiration on Spring Break is to play at the beach and return with a nice tan, at hand are much, much better options than San Diego -- and I love the place.
Yup, other answers are correct. Ave. illustrious in past due March would be mid to high 60s. Water temp probably surrounded by low 60s. If you are in the wet it's fine in a wetsuit; wouldn't budge in minus one. I live in Encinitas and hit the sand with a boogie board near full wetsuit that time of year; not yet thaw out enough for a spring suit. If the weather is nice you'll see lots of population on the beach but few within the water. It sounds resembling Florida is what you're looking for...or Mexico (Cancun).
I agree beside the first poster, San Diego in March is not that great for spring break. It can be sunny and within the 70's and 80's in March if at hand are Santa Ana winds or it can be cool, cloudy and within the 60's. But the average high is 66 so most possible it will be in the 60's. Last March I remember here were a week here and here of warm sunny weather but it be mostly cooler and in the 60's adjectives month. Spring is probably the worst time for weather in SD b/c you acquire a lot more overcast days and lots of the naval layer than other times of the year; winter is if truth be told statistically sunnier than spring. And the water is too cold for swimming, doesn't usually reheat up enough for swimming until delayed May.
As much as I love San Diego, I think Florida would be better and probably cheaper since it's closer to NY.
