Going on hols to New York, worried shopping won't fit surrounded by suitcase, could I post it home? Any model of cost?
Has anyone done this? How much might it cost and what about customs?
Answers:
If your going shopping in NY for clothes, run just what you requirement that's what i do, then you enjoy plenty of room for all your tentative clothes for coming back PS you dont want to post clothes spinal column to UK it cost a FORTUNE best to pay if you are over 28 ks , as to be precise what you are allowed coming back
I am actually going to different york in parade and plan to buy loads of stuff, posting it back home wouldn't really be worth it, I suggest you buy an extra suitcase put a few things surrounded by it not much and then buy anything you want and steep it up in the mostly uninhabited suitcase. Make sure you get rid of adjectives the boxes and tags of the things you buy, as your approaching 3000 miles away your not really going to be returning anything anyway.
Is it newly you going?
If your going with someone else next maybe clutch two big suitcases and take as little as possible!
I go with 3 other individuals and took medium sized suitcases and after 2 of them shared a big one. And in the big one we put a roomy weekend bag type of item and coming home we filled that up beside stuff and the one of the people who shared have that as their case at the aiport.
Otherwise give somebody a lift as larger handluggage as you can (Going By The Hand Luggage Guide Line Size) And pack as much as you can into their some places they allow you to take a laoptop sack & hand luggage so if you bring a laptop you can pack some small things into that.
I'm not sure on shipping prices, but the larger it is the more expensive so if you have to ship next i'd suggest ship the smaller things.
