What is that giant sea slide entity mortal built contained by downtown LA?
The structure is at Grand Ave across the 101 from the Catholic Cathedral. It is very massive, and looks somewhat like a huge wet slide. Does anyone actually know what it is? I haven't be able to find anything roughly speaking it online.

To make a contribution all credit to Obviousman who answered this query previously, this is the construction of the new Central LA High School #9 on the infirm site of the LAUSD headquarters.
I should have specified this! I am a member of the oversight committee that monitors the spending of the bond monies that a a generous part of the funding of this truly HUGE program specifically transforming our schools. This is bringing equality in services at long last to our community and making better different and upgraded teaching and ancillary space for ALL our students surrounded by this enormous district, #2 within size in the nation. I am humbled and proud to be capable of help. We singular wish we could do it faster and even more extensively. The urge is enormous.
If you follow the correlation, you will see some nasty comments, and I will include my retort here. The architecture is not so wild and expressly not so expensive as you might think. The materials are not exotic. The state's codes and other regulations are notably rigorous for safety as capably as proper teaching spaces. I believe that well-designed places train, too, and that grim educational services turn out grim people. [So within! :) ]
