I second the Boston Duck Tour, but tickets put up for sale out quickly. Are you going to be staying beside a host family or some sort or going near a group? Either way, tolerate your coordinator know that you'd like to be in motion on a duck tour and ask them how you can get tickets. You can purchase individual tickets at the Prudential Center Mall, Quincy Market and the Science Museum.
How long will you be contained by Boston - i.e. one day, three days, etc.? Depending on how much time you hold you may want to check out the aquarium (on the ocean), the Science Museum, Boston Common, Bunker Hill, USS Constitution, Hard Rock Cafe, etc. Other than the Duck Tour, there are regular tour trolleys which you can purchase a day-ticket for and find off at different stops (highly recommended if you've never been to Boston before).
If you are going to be staying beside a host family or going near a group - suggest that you'd like to see Blue Man Group at the Charles Street Theater - you won't apologize for.
You may wish to hoof it around the campuses of Harvard and MIT which are both located within Cambridge, but are just a short 'T' ride away (the red line).
Spending an afternoon at Fanueil Hall/Quincy Market is also a well brought-up idea and its to hand enough the aquarium that you could slickly piggyback the two.
Boston is considered a walking city - so lace up some comfortable tennis shoes and make sure to pack a bottle of dampen.
Tickets to a Boston Red Sox game might also be fun, but tickets can be super expensive and you'd probably enjoy to buy them off someone.
