Organizing a waddle to tilt awarness and $ for epilepsy- hoof it across the amalgamated states from san fran to dc?
My friend and I want to walk across the US to bring to the fore $ and awarness to find a cure for epilepsy.How do I go roughly organizing and finding sponsers for an event resembling this? We would also nedd a SAG wagon or a support vehicle- any accepted wisdom thoughts or suggestions would help us tremendously!

I would go to epilepsyfoundation.org and stir to the "ecommunities" section. Make an report, and post this question beneath the "Advocacy" section. Those message boards of full of society who have epilepsy and lots of experience near things like this.
Idea...
Don't manage a walk. Fundraisers other end up costing/spending almost as much money as they angle. Instead, gather together folks who *would* make the pace, then digit out how long the walk would transport. Then, have everyone a short time ago donate their wages that they'd be missing out by taking time off for the hoof it.
No exhaustion, no medical bills, no gas money/pollution, no trouble... more money to the cause.
While I support the intention and compassion at the rear fundraisers, I think the methods for most are ridiculous and counter-productive, and moreso organized to create participants grain like "obedient people" than actually helping the wreak.
