"I'm shipping up to Boston" by Dropkick Murphys; what do the lyrics stingy?
Don't get me wrong, but honestly I almost laugh hard when i first hear the song.
Do you know what the lyrics really mean? I dont' chew over it is just going on for a sailor loosing his leg.
I think they are motto losing his leg, because of something.
What do you think?
Answers:
Didn't know this until I looked it up but it was written by Woody Guthrie. The sailor say he lost his leg "climbing up the topsails." I never really thought about it much until you mentioned it but "to find my wooden leg" could be patently be a double entendre meaning something else as in good health.
He's moving to Boston?
