Look on craigslist.com. If you want a nice or fancy nouns you might want to consider getting a roommate. There are deals here and at hand but you just hold to be constantly searching. Oh and how the individual mentioned above, the ghetto parts are cheaper. Don't worry though they're not as ghetto as they would be surrounded by L.A. or NYC. I've mnaged to live in some fine and I'm a 23 year antediluvian single petite female.
You can find a 2 bed/1bath apt in Santee and within El Cajon which are located in east side of San Diego.

You should look at the websites listed below (from the San Diego Reader and Craigslist.org). I am a San Diego local. One nice community to check out is La Mesa, which is safe and verbs but not glamorous. I also like parts of Mission Hills, Normal Heights, and Hillcrest, but some of these areas are a bit dicey -- best to turn in soul and get a be aware of for the place. D
it depends where on earth trying to live in East an South East of San Diego city u can find apts for that much (But these are the ghetto parts of the city only just to let u know)
