The River North Best Western right presently is 89.10 a night near a AAA discount. It is also downtown.
The Holiday Inn at the Chicago Merchandise Mart is available at this time of year for $119.00

If you want to stay downtown, right now is the cheap season. Nice hotels surrounded by the Loop and River North will be hovering slightly above or below $200 a darkness...that goes for places approaching the Hotel Monaco and the Holiday Inn: Merchandise Mart.
Even if you stay near the airports, you should expect to recompense about $200 as capably. But check http://www.hotels.com/ because you can usually get a better rate through them...give or take a few $50 cheaper a night. I of late checked and the cheap but still nice hotels were:
Congress - $95 per dark
Palmer House - $139 per night
Hyatt Regency - $109 per darkness
I stayed at the Congress right in downtown & extraordinarily near the river for a good price ending fall. It be very convenient & a gorgeous building even though the rooms are a bit outdated.
