Miami have great activities for everyone. You can run day boat trips, rent a boat yourself, kayak, snorkel, take certified to dive if you aren't already (VERY AWESOME), there is the Miami MetroZoo, unsurprisingly the beach, shopping, clutch a sight seeing cruise on the intracoastal channel, get some great Cuban cuisine, dine on the waterfront, dance to South Beach for the people watching (there is other some photo shoot on the beach), traipse through the pricey hotels like you belong in that (The Delano, Tides), explore Coconut Grove, go to the Venetian pool (www.venetianpool.com), golf or tennis if you are into them, transport a day trip down to Key Largo (an hour south) for the total best snorkel or shallow dives (go to Molasses Reef), if you are into art tour the art deco distric in Miami Beach or budge to Miami Art Museum, Vizcaya Museum and Gardens is worth the tour.
The Breakers is in West Palm Beach...which is a bit of a Drive from Miami...resembling 2 more hours South of Palm Beach...
Bring Money with you ...any place is pricey...Have Fun!!
I suggest you change airports: The Breakers is contained by Palm Beach.
