Non-Canadian citizen going to Vermont to snowboard requirements?

Hi, I would like to be in motion to Jpeak next weekend. I am currently a student within Montreal, but not a Canadian citizen. I heard that it is possible to attain a border crossing visa for $7 at the border. Is it true? US Immigration website has no information on this remedy, and since I am applying for my citizenship now, I don't want to stir through the hassle of getting a regular tourist visa. Thanks in finance!

It is not a visa you obtain at the border. IF you are a citizen of a country that participates within the Visa Waiver Program then here is a fee (the $7) at any park Port of Entry. It is a processing fee, not a visa. If you are NOT a citizen of a country that participate in the VWP, you will own to consult the US Embassy closest to you. You would probably then requirement a tourist visa.
i believe you can still cross with basically a drivers license or other state issued ID; what citizenship are you anyway?? if you're US then you should be fine
I have never hear of any such visa as a $7.00 border crossing visa. If it really existed, the line would budge all the approach to the North Pole! Whether or not you need a visa to enter the U.S.depends on your residency. You can go to the site below and enter your residency and destination and it will tell you if you call for a visa.
