First tip don't settle up full price( They are recommended prices)
For sure hit the 20th century European wing as well as the American wing. If you are not burned out all the same also check out the Modern wing.

Empire State Building
Expensive but one of the few touristy experiences that I grain is worth the cost.
Staten Island Ferry
Free ferry ride that go by the statue of liberty and offer great views of lower Manhattan
