Any cheap/reasonable hotels/motels right over subway stations contained by chicago - within non-dangerous areas?
I don't want to spend $400/night at a hotel downtown and don't mind jumping on the subway to carry downtown/elsewhere but I do not know the city and am hoping there are those here who know the city well. I would appreciate relieve! Thanks!

I would consider the Best Western Grant Park, or the Essex Inn, both not far from the Roosevelt Red Line station, and also on major bus lines up Michigan Avenue.
I've spend a week at the homewood suite downtown, great location it's a block from michigan ave, 2 minutes from red line Grand station, adjectives rooms are suites, you get a complimentary breakfast and a street lamp dinner on week days, booked on hilton.com and paid $130/night.Most far-reaching this hotel is number six on tripadvisor
