Weather request for information for someone in the vicinity Galveston or Houston?

I'm not from here and I'm in an RV. A primary storm is headed our route tomorrow with a moderate to elevated threat of flooding, wind and frozen rain damage, and tornadoes. I'll whip my dog and cat and spend tomorrow at my husband's workplace since I don't want to be in the RV during the storm.

My cross-question is for anyone who lives in Galveston county. When be the last time you have a major storm and be there much weaken? Do you know of a website where I could find weather history within the area? Thanks so much.

Check out this website. It is the official weather forecaster for the USA and probably also have history as well as current warning. If there are no warning attached to the weather you know about next you could probably stay at the trailer or if you want to be safe, shift to a mall. RV's and mobile homes are fodder for serious weather, so taking shelter is an excellent hypothesis.

Good luck and since this weather is headed my track, see if you can divert it into the Caribbean.

The most predictable thing give or take a few the weather around here is that often is not predictable.

The forecast for Saturday is that conditions are ripe for severe thundershowers contained by the afternoon. There is also a better than normal accidental for a tornado or two.

The line of thunderstorms is supposed to be brisk moving. This gives them a better haphazard of less flooding but stronger wind.

As far as major storm, if you niggardly just t-storms, they ensue about once or twice a month this time of year. Usually nearby no damage, even to RVs. Sometimes nearby is localized damage or street flooding. Occasionally a small tornado will spin bad and do a little plunder. Hail can occur too but happen more often contained by the summer.

The Gulf Coast is not known for substantial tornados. Most are very small, short lived ones cause minor damage.

Tropical storms and hurricanes? Now to be exact a whole other story. But they don't ensue until summer.

Play it safe, turn to your husband's workplace. The T-storms should quickly verbs through as long as the cold front doesn't stall in the nouns. I prefer My Fox Houston weather radar. It loads a lot quicker than ABC13 radar.

I JUST READ THAT ON THE INTERNET.THEY SAY THIS IS ACTUALLY A RARE OCCURENCE FOR THE LEVE OF THE THREAT. WE RARELY GET TORNADOES. AND IF WE DO THERE REALLY SMALL. HAIL IS NOT TO FREQUENT BUT IT DOES HAPPEN. U REALLY CANT DODGE THE HAIL. JUST PARK UNDER SOMETHING. NOW AS FOR THE WINDS WE SEEM TO ALWAYS GET REALLY STRONG WINDS WITH STORMS CAUSE OF THE WARM AIR COMING OFF OF THE GULF. ITS USUALLY DOESNT LAST THAT LONG. 10 TO 30 MINUTES AT THE MOST OR IT DEPENDS ON HOW FAST THE STORM IS MOVING. IM SURE IT'LL BE ALRIGHT BUT IT IS GOOD YOUR ARE ABREAST TO THE SITUATION. JUST KEEP POSTED. ABC13.COM CLICK ON WEATHER AND THEN CLICK ON WEATHER BLOG. THE METEOROLIGIST GIVES A DAILY UPDATE TO THE WEATHER THROUGH A BLOG.
