Activities Along the Way?
from Flint, MI to Boston (New York), does anyone know of some (cheep) family-friendly places to stop along the way?
Answers:
Rock & Roll Hall of Fame surrounded by Cleveland [don't know how "cheap" this is - try their website], Niagara Falls [though the Canadian side is nicer], Darien Lake [amusement park] between Buffalo and Rochester. The Finger Lakes area of interior NY is nice [there's a website if you do a search for Finger Lakes]. Rochester have the Strong Museum of Play. Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown. Berkshire Mountains hold lots of art venues and "cute" towns, as very well as music/dance/theater events in the summer.
You might want to check Fodor's and Frommer's websites for info and philosophy about areas along the means of access. TripAdvisor.com has destination guides, as capably as lists of hotels next to comments by past guests and those repeatedly contain useful info nearly things in the nouns, too.
Have fun!
BTW - Might it be faster/easier to go to Niagara Falls from Flint through Canada? Just a thought!
