What are the American Car Hire Insurance Regulations (specifically florida)?
Hello All,
I am going to the states (Florida) in a few weeks and hold arranged a hire car through Dollar. I hold just found out that the rate I own been quoted does not include insurance. Can anyone let somebody know me how the car insurance system works over near? With UK car hire it is included as it’s compulsory to be insured, is this the shield in the states or are the rules different? Do I necessitate to arrange for a 3rd party to insure me/the vehicle while on holiday?

ahhhaa! thats the catch next to these cheap fly drive deals.they pass you a "free" car - but you hold to buy your own insurance ... the CDW is useless - because in Florida - you could run into an irate Floridian - and their tenet states if a tourist upsets one of them - and they decide to furnish you a bit of road rage - they will other be in the right... and if you dont own half clad insurance - your F'ckd.
Sorry but you are going to need full insurance (not sure of the price nowadays). It is a adjectives practice that the people that vend cheap or free car hire will consequently charge the earth for insurance.

It doesn't include insurance because they will try to sell you a few different kind. Some will be mandatory (liability insurance) other will be optional (CDW). Here's a cooperation I found adding for a time more info. As was posted above, medical attention can be expensive so that is something to preserve in mind.
