How fruitless is Detroit traffic around the Palace on Sat. hobby days?
Hi,
I'm traveling from Toledo to The Palace to see the Pistons play on Sat. the 29th.
The game starts (a) 730; I'm guessing I should give about 5 (a) the most modern, but I've never been nearby & I'm not sure...Plus, will I be hitting that construction on 75?
Let me know...thx :)

I live just North of Toledo (in Michigan) and we go to a game contained by Jan. If you leave at 5, you'll be fine. We go to a game within Jan. and I don't remember any MAJOR construction.
My suggestion is when you get to the Palace, try to park out surrounded by Lot D. It's real graceful to get OUT from nearby.
>>>The traffic is horrible during any Palace event,, coming from Toledo,,I would leave a bit before,,They have a restaurant within the palace so at least you can own a bite to eat if you go and get there too precipitate,,and as far as construction,There is none in the nouns of it (YET )lol,,,,Enjoy the GAME!!
I don't know about constuction, but I can recount you the best way to attain to the Palace.
Do not get rotten at Lapeer Rd. Keep going North until the next exit which is Joslyn Rd. and Get rotten on exit 83A. (Please Check Google Map to make sure I'm right, and so you can see for yourself.) It is the first exit that go to the right. It curves down into 3 lanes. Be surrounded by the Far Right lane.
As you get sour that exit, take an IMMEDIATE right, almost a U-turn onto Harmon Rd. That will help yourself to you around the main Palace traffic and into the posterior entrance of the Palace. As long as you stay on Harmon, you will run right into a Parking attentant on your right hand side. Saves you nearly 15 mins. of I-75 traffic.
