Answers:
Austin is a great place to live, but offer less for tourists than Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, or the coast. It have great neighborhoods, laid back lifestyle, outdoor go (biking, hiking, boating, climbing), and a good bar/club scene. There are a few 'touristy' things, such as the State Museum, the Capital, UT, and a couple of art museums. Also, some of the adjoining areas offer profusely, such as Fredrichsberg, San Marcos, and Brennem.
Dallas/Fort Worth - Museums, Six Flags, food.
Houston/Galviston - NASA, Battleship Texas, San Jacento, the beach
San Antonio - Alamo and other missions, river waddle, Fiesta Texas
Corpus Christi/Padre Island - Beaches, aquarium, aircraft carrier Enterprise
definitely call in the River walk within San Antonio and the ALamo for sure, it's very inspiring...
that age diff. is major.
I contemplate that you should try museums.
bats on congress
a boat ride on town tarn
fredricksburg
wineries
