You should be OK . Be frugal.
I regard you will be fine as long as you be smart with the bread. I just departed there. I go on-line to find a cheap room and made sure I ate off site. You are competent to leave the park and come put a bet on without any hassle. But I be there for three days and believe me by the 3rd morning I was more than primed to come home. The only cynical is I believe a week is a little long.
not even close unless you stay somewhere for free. only a place to sleep will take your $700 well.
I won't suggest use the taxi, since is complicated to found one, and usually by phone or in the hotel, and is hugely pricey, i think every miles will cost you approaching 2 dollars, to save money, use their subway and bus system. I do belive the subway can progress to the universal studio, but for six flags is different story. But 700 is possible. Just issue how you willing to cut cost, any in transportation, food or contained by shopping. I do suggest when you eat surrounded by Universal Studio, eat within the pollo loco, is probably the best for you buck in the area park.
I think you will a short time ago make it. Barely clear it , but make it. Depends on how much spending and shopping you do. If your not renting a vehicle, take the metrolink to six flags, because taking a black cab from LA to six flags is going to be like really expensive. Six flags is 30-45 min from LA
If you are not including a hotel room in your $700 next you should be fine for a week. Make sure you are not eating/drinking at really expensive places and you should be fine.
ahahaha!! you are funny...you will not quite make it...near crappy food...unless you have a own flesh and blood in los angeles...it's incredibly pricey here

Where are you going to stay? Figure just about $100+ per night for a clad hotel where you don't share the bed near roaches and listen to the drug dealer belt up the prostitute in the subsequent room.
How are you going to get around? Car? Taxi? (VERY Expensive)
I would read aloud $700 isn't nearly enough. Figure twice that, and you should be OK.
seize a combo tourist pass for the sights so you can release some $$$ & don't forget the getty museum!!

Taxi fares? You're itinerary (Hollywood to Six Flags Magic Mountain) REQUIRES a coup¨¦, taxi fare would be brutal to cover such long distances, you would be better off renting a coup¨¦.
If by "drink" you mean alcohol at bar, that can get eat up very hurriedly.
And what do you mean by "shopping"? After adjectives of your other requirements, you won't have much disappeared over to buy anything other than a few t-shirts and postcards.
Bump your budget up to 1k and you will be within better shape.
taxi fare?? you would be better off renting a motor for a few days. take out shopping and yes as long as you don't own an expensive taste for food and you don't really celebration. you must already have a place to stay... Magic Mountain is awesome! really terrifying!
