Having recently moved from Hurricane prone Florida I be pretty much unfased by the recent storms. Granted, rather annoyed to not enjoy power for 13 hours, but I kept myself occupied.
I read contained by the kitchen for a few hours, very stillness and still had some moral light. Took a nice long rest in the living room listen to the storm bluster and howl and the melodic pings of the precipitation on the fireplace flue. When the fiance got home we concluded up going to place that did have power for dinner and a movie we've be waiting to see.
Some hiccups with public transportation made things mildly annoying but liveable. The nice bus driver on the "J" strip made sure we made the right connection to achieve us down town because it was confusing here for a bit.
Came home after a nice evening out to find our power on.
Rain doesn't stop me! LOL. But our power go out yesterday...
Let's see I live on Treasure Island, we had 79 mph wind all year, shingles are all over the streets, tree branches blocking roads and sidewalks, cars can not even park surrounded by their lots because they are flooded. It actually looked similar to the footage I saw of Katrina, before the flooding as expected, crazy!
The rain is nice. My skin get very dry within the winter, so it's nice to have some moisture surrounded by the air so I'm not constantly itching.
Honestly, the storm have been disappointing. I'm from SF originally, but lived contained by various parts of the midwest growing up, and be hoping for a *real* storm... really heavy wind, such heavy rainfall that you can't see 5 feet surrounded by front of you, thunder, lightning, etc... it's all exciting. We've gotten such things a few times past (not for a few years, though), and was hoping we would this time, too. But no such luck. I can drive in need having to verbs over, and walk against the twine without suspicion of being pushed over. Quite boring.
So... the moisture's nice. Everything else more or less the storm is disappointing, though.
I would have answered your examine earlier, but my power have been out, stale and on, for 13 hours.
There are fallen trees blocking the streets surrounded by my neighborhood. I have to walk out and unblock the street drains every few hours so our street doesn't seize flooded.
My neighbor's trash cans blew over and the contents (and the cans) are immediately in my patio. My umbrella broke from turning inside out. People are driving like they're insane.
So necessarily, no, I'm not enjoying it.
It reminds me of when I lived in Oklahoma.
