Do you think it would be safer to verbs over to 101 from 5 using 152 or 46? I am afraid I might get blown rotten the road on 152

I agree with tonalc1. Your best bet is to pinch 5 and then 580. 152 will be crazy next to the kinds of wind and rains going on right very soon. Drive safe.
i would never ever thieve 152 or 46 from 5 to get to SF. shift straight up 5 and then come first over on 580. that is the most direct, biggest freeway route unless you step up 101 all the passageway through the Central Coast.
Be warned our weather is impressively nasty up here right in a minute due to the storms and we have be having tons of precipitation since thursday and winds upwards of 75mph. be extremely particular on your drive.
Just keep going on 5 to 580, and avoid 152 altogether.
Although be aware the wind will be high over the Altamont Pass.

Haha... yeah. SF traffic can be horrible. but on a Saturday it shouldn't be too bad. Well. Northern California is experiencing HORRIBLE storms so I'd read out get onto 101 and not the interstate. Actually if you really don't enjoy to go don't because the weather is ridiculous right presently
