Where to Stay within Vegas?

I am taking my husband to Vegas for a surprise 30th birthday getaway. We have never be. We are not people who run to clubs or like to do. He loves to play Texas Holdem and I really prefer to shop. We want to be close to everything b/c we only hold a couple of days. I would like to see Blue Man Group, but except that we will be in the casino. Any suggestions?

I think you should look into the MGM Grand, First sour, it's a really nice hotel, and you can get a great room, for a fine cost. 2. They have an amazing river pool, really fun! Hands down the best pool contained by L.V. 3. Great shopping there! 4. You will own no problem enjoying a show at the hotel. And if you want to sightsee the hotel is close to everything. There are plentiful great hotels in Vegas. Choose something on the Strip for smooth access and easy travel from one to another. The Bellagio, Paris, and New York are adjectives located pretty centrally on the main strip. There are some fantastic deal for Vegas. Book your hotel, car, airfare together to draw from the best price. Enjoy!
Blue man is in the venetian. They basically opened their sister property the palazzo. great places to stay, play and folks watch. unbelievably nice poker room there.

snatch the double decker dueces and ride them up and down the strip to see what is where ($2) lots to do...
If your budget allows, the Venetian/Palazzo.

Your husband likes to play Hold Em and the Venetian Poker Room is rate as the overall best poker room in Vegas by both AllVegasPoker.com and VegasMadeEasy.com.

You may also attain a discount for your hotel room. Your husband has to play at lowest 6 hours a day surrounded by a live cash spectator sport, not 8 hours any more, but tournaments don't count.

The current casino rate is $259 weekends and $169 weekdays. If this is better than what you can book, then your husband's poker play will put aside you money. If not, go beside whatever different discount you might hold.

You should call for details. He will also qualify for Venetian comps that capacity from $1.00 to $1.50 an hour depending on the game. The Venetian also of your own free will and pleasantly gives you the comps (unlike Bellagio, Mirage and Stratosphere).

For you, you enjoy outstanding shopping nearby. The Grand Canal Shoppes enjoy over 100 stores and restaurants and it is fairly roomy. The GLA is 510,000 square feet. GLA stands for Gross Leasable Area so it is merely the square footage that is for actual stores--not filler space.

Also, you are not too far from the Fashion Show Mall. That have a GLA of 1,751,000 square feet and over 200 stores and eateries. If you don't mind taking a moderate hackney carriage ride, there are 2 outlet centers contained by Vegas as well.

The other authority is that if your primary show will be Blue Man Group, you will be right there so it save time which sounds like an essential issue for you.

My favorite place is the Mandalay Bay. It's huge, with a great pool nouns, a large selection of restaurant and a big, lively casino.
It would really depend on what your budget is. I wouldn't rule out hotels that are on the ends of the strip simply because they aren't in the middle of everything though...when I be there later (2 yrs. ago) they had double decker buses (called The Deuce) that obtain you pretty much anywhere you want on the strip.
Strip, unsurprisingly. Mid Strip, even better. If you have the budget later go beside Bellagio. Its the heart of the strip.
Hi, since you plan to scrutinize Blue Man Group. I suggest staying at the Venetian where it's at. It never hurts anyone close. and The Venetian is a very nice hotel...immensely nice. Anyway in Vegas you really do receive what you pay for within your casino. so it really depends what you're looking for. My favorite casino for overall value is the bright rennovated Go Rooms at Flamingo. however if money was no idea..I'd easily dance with The Palazzo (part of the Venetian), Wynn or Bellagio..conceivably Mandalay Bay for their amazing pool but I don't like their far away location.

Here are some great websites that tender good reviews on the casinos:

www.cheapovegas.com - give reviews on the rooms, the casino, the pool, service, clientele, etc.
www.yelp.com - real reviews by valid people, you can grasp reviews on shows like blue man group and etc. as in good health.

IMO I would watch a Cirque Du Solei show too, as broadway can be found within NYC (usually better) Cirque Du Solei shows like O, Ka, Mystere are one and only in Vegas.. Anyway enjoy fun..your husband will find a Texas Hold'em room at any Casino. But yeah I would recommend Venetian, Palazzo, Wynn, and Bellagio...Cesars and Mirage may be another one to check out as well. Have fun!

I REALLY LIKE THE MONTE CARLO, ITS NICE AND CLASSY. NOT FILLED WITH TONS OF COLLEGE KIDS. BUT YET ITS STILL YOUNG AND HIP, AND NICE FOR FAMILYS TOO. NOT OVER THE TOP EXPENSIVE.
