Like most states, some places are nice, and some aren't. It is expensive to live in that. I lived there for 45 years. I have enough of the earthquake, and the fruits and nuts...said goodbye for good. Go.. call on it ...you'll like the geography.

It adjectives depends on what you like. California can grant you the best of all worlds and temperature. Northern CA. is more cool and snowy, southern CA is more warm/hot. I've been to San Fransisco twice, cool city, lots of culture, things to do, warmth cool year round, but comfortable. Go into the state east on I-80 about 4 hrs to Lake Tahoe and you own the beach and the ski slopes adjectives in one place. Los Angeles is more in haste paced, adjectives types live there, rich, poor, celebrity, and average folk. Lots of touristy things to do. If you have cable and can carry BET, watch Hell Date, it is film in LA and they show like mad fo cool places around the city. I also have be to Catalina Island, off the coast of Long Beach. I go para sailing there, it be fun. locals and tourists having fun together.

i like san fransico and sacramento. i've driven from sac to LA and spent a few night in LA and i didn't approaching it.
I spent nearly 2 weeks there contained by Dec and Jan of this year. I come from Australia and really didn't see that much area knowledgeable. However what really suprised us was that in that were some really stunning places and some really NOT beautiful places adjectives within awfully short distances of each other.
We loved Disneyland but didn't approaching Santa Monica. We loved San Diego especially the Zoo and also the trip down from LA. That area have a great history. We loved crossing the snow covered areas going across to Las Vegas but the desert afterwards was really depressing. We thought we have dry areas over here!! Our really dry areas seem to hold this beautiful golden red colour which the Mojave desert seem to lack. Different soil I would suppose.
Overall we can't hang around to come back and see more especially of the north.
