Hilton Hawaiian Village or the Hilton Waikiki Prince Kuhio?

I am looking to redeem my HHonors points for a Hawaiian trip coming up in March. Would you recommend the Hilton Hawaiian Village, or the Hilton Waikiki Prince Kuhio?

There are simply 2 of us - no kids. Would the Hawaiian Village be too much of a family resort?

And location prudent... is the Hawaiian Village more central to everything, or the Prince Kuhio, or neither? Just can't really update from the travel books where is the nouns I want to be at.

Most websites say that the Hawaiian Village enjoy the largest portion of the beach. Does this suggest that the beach is accessible by Hawaiian Village customers singular? Somewhat confused as to why that is crucial.

I would appreciate it too If anyone has any feedback on Hhonors amenities on any of these hotels.

Thanks everyone!!

I have visit both hotels & dined there, but never stayed overnight. They are both superb places. The Prince is a bit further from central Waikiki, but not significantly so. The Prince will probably be quieter. The Hilton have larger grounds & a lagoon that I believe is private, although they don't seem to shoo locals away. The beach, as someone already said, are all public. I'd probably grant the nod to the Hilton, but I don't think you could run wrong with any.
Sorry - adjectives I can answer is about the beach. *All* beaches within Hawaii are public. It may be easiest accessed from one of the hotels, but they must provide (or at least possible they cannot prohibit) public access.
I love the Hilton Hawaiian Village. If you can return with into the Kalia Tower the rooms are great. The pool is nice, but if you want a lounge chair you hold to go when they friendly about at 8 and put a towel on your stool. They have rather cafe for breakfast and cocktails on the beachfront walk. The shore is open to anyone. The lobby banister has nightly entertainment and the drinks are strong. There are plenty of shops. Also it is awfully popular with conventions. There are fireworks after the Friday hula show. For dark life try the Sheraton Waikiki Esprit lounge for dance.
I like the HH small town because of its location. I can't speak for the other. The beach is accessible to adjectives but can't imagine that matter. You are near the marina so not right within the thick of the endeavour. I like that for the quieter aspect and it is walking distance to the center of Waikiki.
Have you checked out tripadvisor.com check out the forums and the ratings for both hotels.
Have a great time. We will be on Oahu within March also.
Staying with friends!!
I stayed at the Hilton Hawaiian Village last week. I am not a Hhonors on the other hand I got a great corner room surrounded by the Rainbow Tower with the deep, yacht harbor and mountain views. The service at the hotel be excellent, and the food good. Drinks be pricey but if you want to sit on the beach looking at the sunset to see if within is a green flash………..

The HHV is on the west side of Waikiki. Closer to Ala Moana Shopping Center than to the center of Waikiki. I walked the sand from HHV to the statue of Duke K and back on the street within a half hour. So you could hoof it to places like the International Market Place or Ala Moana. Beach have space for all the hotel's guests not something I could say-so about the nouns near the Sheraton.

Downside? The setting at HHV is more Guici shopping than Hawaiian Village. But after that is what Waikiki have morphed into. Yet they do have a a Hawaiian show every Friday evening that would be worth watching (we have a dinner reservation). Was about 60% full all the same they closed 2 of their main restaurants. No issue which Hilton you go to, I would expect lots storefronts selling Hilton timeshares.
