Disney World Meal plan Advice?

We are leaving for our first family connections vacation to Disney surrounded by Florida, in two weeks. This will be my daughters first trip and we get the dinning plan all set up. But I'm worried that two big meal and a snack aday may not be enough food beside all the walking you do at hand. Has anyone survived on te basic collation plan and lived to tell in the region of it? :-) Please Share.

Hi, I have used the feast plan for the past 2 years. What we do is purchase breakfast contained by the morning, often splitting one spread between 2 people. (I am 45 and my son is 26)

Don't use your counter service meal here. Sometimes, we use a snack credit to get a fruit bowl and use that for breakfast. You will find that nearby is PLENTY of food on the meal plan. We hold even shared counter service meals contained by order to stretch out the feast plan

BTW- I am leaving on the 16th (2 weeks) to turn to Disney for one week!! See you there!
The meal plan is a really well-mannered value. You gain lots of choices and it's more than enough food. I would bring snacks near you though if you think you'll grasp hungry during the day. Enjoy your trip!
hi. i've been to Disney 2x earlier and i am getting the meal plan for my trip within Oct (i can't wait!!). Me and my bf chomp through normal amounts but we draw from up early and stay out belatedly so i was thinking the dinnertime plan isnt really enough, especially because we're staying 6 night but are eating dinner when we arrive and breakfast and lunch on our ultimate day. 12 of everything isnt adequate. So, i already planned things out (you need advanced reservations asap, things be booked up weeks ahead of my trip) and i am going to pay out of pocket for 2 meal. Go to allearsnet.com and look up menus and pricing, this way you can want what things you would pay for (mine is Grand Floridian breakfast buffet and BOMA breakfast buffet). THe food at Disney is soooo accurate. I plan Character breakfasts a lot, (so within goes the table service for the afternoon!) and then i plan to use the counter service for a lunch (think in the region of even sharing one counter service and saving the other for subsequently in the daytime to share at another restaurant) and then another table service for dinner. If you plan on getting up belatedly and getting in untimely, i can see it being plenty of food. We return with up about 6:30-7am and dont' draw from back until after 12am. Long days! Remember you can charge things to your room push button, so if you're hungry just charge it to your card. Dont miss out on the Grreat food, purely get what you obligation. The meal plan any way will recover TONS of money and you wont worry roughly speaking prices. Like the other person said, the OHANA dinner at the Polynesian is outstanding! try the traits breaksfasts too! Not a lot of money any.
The amount of food you receive is more than ample and we are big eaters. I am concerned in the amount of time you enjoy before your trip and it does not nouns like you own made any prearranged meals. You have need of to call and arrange meal ahead of time.

What we did was role breakfast, huge meals and snacks for lunch later a big dinner, often a part dinner.

Or we at a snack for breakfast, pastry at on of the bakeries, counter lunch and big dinner.

Call 1407WDisney and ask to schedule meal, ask for what they have available during your trip and bound for the chances still available, those of us who travel here on a yearly foundation schedule meal 180 days in mortgage.
It is lots and lots of food. We typically used the counter meal as a brunch breakfast time. We always used the drink within the counter meal as any a bottle water or bottle of soda - that approach we could take it into the parks. Then we bought the snack as a rucksack of chips (something that we could share as a family. Typically 2 "bought" wet and 2 "bought" chips). Then for the sit down meal we in general ate at a buffet dinner (have picky kids).

Remember your tip is already included in the price (its as a rule about 18%). ALso you can "borrow" your meal from the next time. For example if you want to do 2 sit down meals (one for breakfast & dinner). The counter lunchtime that you didnt use on that day you can use at a latter time.

All of your meals expire at midnight on the year you check out. Everybody uses the same pool of meal. (stay 5 nights and 4 culture = 20 counter meals, 20 sit down, 20 snacks). Plus when you "pay" the server anybody can mitt over their room key card. So your kid(s) can even retribution for the family's meal. Anytime you can ask your server or the front desk for an up to date printout of your remaining meal.

Do keep track yourself as in good health - maybe bring a small diary and salvage your receipts. You are also allowed to bring in a foot held cooler / backpack for additional snacks & drinks. Everything is subject to scrabble though.

Have fun with your trip.
In my feelings, the meal plan is not a angelic idea near young children.

They will not want to sit down for a feast in the middle of the daylight at the Magic Kingdom or Epcot.

Stop for ten minutes for a quick burger and move about back to have fun.

I took my kids to DisneyWorld every year from when they were 4 til 10 years of age.

Except at age 9 we go to California Disneyland and Knotts Berry farm.

Now I live so close I can hear the fireworks from Epcot respectively night and I can hear it right in a minute as I type the message out.
When my parents took me I didn't want for food, ever! Might want to bring extra cash purely in casing.
The sit down dinner, snack, and counter service are more than adequate for each daytime. My family and I are member of the Disney Vacation Club so we normally buy a pack of english muffins to toast in the room and sometimes a shoulder bag of chips if we get hungry at hours of darkness.

The snack option (as of right now) covers most food items beneath $4. We usually use them for like a fruit cup within the morning or something like that.

The counter service includes an entree, a dessert, and a drink and the servings are other really large so I've never be able to finish the lunchtime.

The sit down meal consists of an appetizer, entree, and a dessert and includes so much food, by the train of the week you'll feel so full. A lot of times, we draw from the table services that use two points so we dont have to put away a giant meal everyday.

Even after adjectives that walking we're never hungry, so you and your daughters should be fine.
its tons of food, youll be fine
It is more than plenty, IN the heat you 'll find your not going to be as hungry so you'll be merely fine! Its a money saver and a smart plan! Take positive aspect of it and eat at the super fine nice resturants, the food is great and the meal are big
Trust me, you will not go hungry beside the meal plan. You surrounded by fact most possible won't use all your snack credits and will cessation up on your last sunshine using them for snacks in the grant shop for on the way home. The counter service and sit down meal offer plentifully more than one might think. Besides, you will be so busy surrounded by the parks that time will fly and food won't be the first thing on your mind.

We go in May and be so stuffed just next to the counter meals at lunch we ate dinner then at night or if we used a table for lunch we ate subsequent for a counter. Disney doesn't skimp on the food and with snacks use them for something special such as a pineapple float at the MK or an almond pretzel at Epcot or a piece of fruit at MK.

But trust me, by the run out of the trip, we were almost tired of intake and if we hadn't already paid for the spread plan we would have skipped out.

Trust me, you will be fine. We have a local grocery store deliver milk, juice, cokes, sea, fruit and pastries to our room and so we had a early breakfast in the room and used the meal inside the park.

Let me recommend OHana at the Poly for a nice evening out or lunch at Cinderella's castle. The buffets are nice as well such as Boma for a nice modification. For counter I really like the cantina within Mexico or Cosmic Rays for a good assortment at MK. Also at MK there is a great fish place that most general public don't know about call Columbia Harbor house close to the Haunted Mansion.

I hope that you have a great trip and don't verbs about the banquet plan. Just enjoy yourself and your daughter and plan mid hours of daylight lunches and a little following for dinner so you can enjoy the parks more during the morning.
