Take the transfer to Coronado. You can rent a bike or a jitney at the pier. The beaches are dazzling and has the best scene of the skyline fom the ferry dock. Also the familiar Hotel Del makes for an awesome photo opp. Balboa Park offer the best concentration of flora around the museums and the buildings (even though their plaster) make for a fine backdrop. There are a couple of ok museums (Art, Man) but anything you do don't waste a dime seeing the Nat History Museum.
