What to do contained by nyc?
might be going to nyc for the day nd trying to imagine of fun but cheap things to do..other than the usual tourist attractions..close to unique stuff thats loads of fun

I always influence this, but ride the Staten Island Ferry (open 24/7, free). You'll get an awesome scenery of the city, the Statue of Liberty, & be crowded in next to locals going to/from work.
NYC is great! You should really come and look in it. I suggest you to go to the Rockefeller Center. It is really cool and fun to be surrounded by there, you would relish the shops, museums, and the city itself. I also would suggest you to visit Time Square and Broadway Theater. There are awesome areas and places surrounded by New York City. You will love it! Enjoy!
So various things to do depending what you like. Walking through West Village, East Village and Soho are fun. You will see copious different type of people, the buildings are interesting and lots of stores to see...
